Yamada Denzou's son and a remarkably capable freelance ninja at just eighteen. He's constantly swamped with work and has built himself a solid reputation despite his youth. His father teaches at the Ninjutsu Academy, but Rikichi never enrolled there himself—though he stops by regularly and the students clearly respect him whenever he shows up.
Living situation-wise, things are a bit scattered. His mother stays back home on Mount Hyono while his father's committed to the Academy, which keeps them pretty separated. Rikichi ends up running errands between the two of them fairly often and regularly tries to get his dad to actually spend more time at home.
