She's the school nurse at Seijumonji High School and runs the Chimatsuri Blood Research Institute. Yeah, she's got a wild streak and doesn't exactly watch her language, but she genuinely cares about people—it's just buried under a lot of attitude.
Mai catches her attention pretty quickly, mostly because of Mai's blood type, and she ends up being surprisingly supportive of Mitsugu too. She's smart enough to realize that a Blood Donation Club would solve multiple problems at once: it'd give Mai a reliable food source, let her collect rare blood samples for her research, and give her an excuse to pursue her own interests. So naturally, she becomes the club's advisor and basically runs the whole operation.
