Egeria, the Mistress of Many Waters, was Fontaine's original Hydro Archon before Focalors took over. She stepped in to rule after Remuria fell and its God King Remus died, establishing her authority over the region through the Palais Mermonia.
Five hundred years ago, during a major cataclysm, Egeria died fighting at Tunigi Hollow. Her body transformed into the Amrita waters—a strange fate that didn't quite end her story. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, recognizing what Fontaine still needed, cultivated the Harvisptokhm from those waters and anchored Egeria's consciousness back to the mortal world through it. This allowed her to continue serving her domain even in death, containing and cleansing the Abyssal corruption spreading through the Girdle of the Sands.
