Caldina is a dancer and performer from Chizeta known for her Osaka accent (rendered as a thick Southern drawl in the English dub) and her habit of wearing barely anything at all. She's obsessed with money—the kind of character who'll do almost anything if the price is right, which fans often compare to Naga from Slayers.
What makes her dangerous is that she's way more skilled than her flashy persona suggests. Zagato brought her on as an assassin after his other hired muscle kept failing, and she backs up that job with serious abilities in illusion and hypnosis alongside her dance moves. In the anime, she's genuinely fond of Ascot and basically mothered him like a younger brother—which is why she ends up leaving Zagato with him when the two of them bail.
The manga later establishes her as actually being from Chizeta originally. She's also incredibly talented at cards and gambling in general, which tracks with her money-hungry personality. Romance-wise, she hooks up with Lafarga across both the anime and manga versions of the series.
