He's the younger brother of Rantaro Kiyama, a BC Sol Blader, and unlike his sibling, Ranjiro's convinced there's nobody stronger than him—or at least refuses to believe otherwise. The guy's stubborn as they come, shrugging off defeat after defeat with unwavering faith in his own abilities.
What keeps people around him, though, is that beneath the arrogance sits genuine honor and real affection for his brother. Fans often note this mix of pig-headed confidence and actual decency is what makes him work. He was eventually picked for BC Sol himself.
