His story takes a dark turn after he runs away from home—contract killer Misaki Sakimiya tracks him down and assassinates him. What happens next is where things get weird: the Corpse God reincarnates into Polka's freshly dead body, which anchors Polka's spirit to the living world. From there, his spirit bounces around between vessels. First it lands in one of Takumi Kuruya's drones, then eventually ends up trapped inside a stuffed bonito shark toy.
