He's Sakaguchi's middle school teacher—basically the only adult who hasn't given up on the guy despite his constant disruptions and troublemaking in class. Sure, he knows Sakaguchi only shows up because he's got a crush on Reiko Minami, the pretty teacher everyone fawns over, but that doesn't stop him from trying to straighten the kid out anyway. The problem is Sakaguchi's just too stubborn to listen, so his efforts don't really go anywhere.
