Tusk is a solitary mechanic who lives on an island near Arzenal. He's descended from the Ancient People—humans who existed before Mana was discovered—and belongs to a faction fundamentally opposed to Mana Society's influence. His skills as a mechanic are genuinely impressive; he's one of the few people capable of repairing the Villkiss, the advanced mobile suit that Ange piloted.
The two met when Tusk found Ange washed up on his island's shore alongside the Villkiss itself. He treated her injuries and brought her into his life, eventually becoming her closest confidant. Tusk develops romantic feelings for Ange, and the two grow genuinely close as the story progresses.
