Daphne's whole thing is chasing that feeling of being full—it's basically her reason for existing. She'll eat pretty much anything in massive quantities, though she's not picky about taste. The catch is she's bulimic, so a lot of what goes down comes back up. She actually created the Demon Beasts as a way to manage her hunger, which. didn't really work. More importantly, she doesn't lose sleep over the people they kill. Her logic is straightforward enough: if you're desperate enough to eat others, you should expect to be eaten yourself.
When she was secured, they went all out. Her body was placed diagonally in a coffin and strapped down tight with physical restraints. They even blindfolded her eyes completely with a black cloth, making sure it was sealed tight.
