West Kai rules the West Galaxy and is basically North Kai's arch-nemesis. He's got this intense competitive streak with him that never really lets up.
Personality-wise, he's kind of a jerk—arrogant, rude, and loves talking trash. He's also comically short, about half the size of North Kai, which doesn't help his attitude any. Unlike every other Kai, he rocks a blue monocle instead of sunglasses, which is admittedly pretty distinctive.
His strongest fighter is Pikkon, who's genuinely formidable. West Kai also has Tapkar and Maraikoh on his roster, but Pikkon's the star. He's the one who taught Pikkon the Thunder Flash Attack, though West Kai later complains that Pikkon kept using it in the arena and basically blew the whole thing up twice. "I told him not to use it unless you're far away," he grumbles, frustrated that his fighters care more about explosions than listening.
As it turns out, West Kai has fought Majin Buu before. When Buu shows up during the Kid Buu Saga, North Kai has to remind him who this actually is. At first West Kai doesn't even recognize the guy, half-wondering if Buu's there to train or just murder everyone. Once it clicks, he can't resist needling Pikkon about the obvious—that Buu is way, way stronger than him. Pikkon's not thrilled about that particular reality check.
