One of the Fourteen Lances responsible for the massacre of Ascheriit and his companions—an act that earned the survivors heroic status and membership among the legendary Seven Heroes. He'd started life as a simple stonemason and petty thief before being conscripted into the Fourteen Lances. He and Ascheriit were close; he's claimed that Ascheriit's own rise from nothing inspired him to take on the mission in the first place.
The problem came after. Once elevated to lordship, he became hooked on the power and prestige that came with being hailed a "hero"—so much so that he became desperate to hold onto it forever. He threw himself into Wischtech sorcery and grotesque medical experiments in pursuit of immortality, draining and mincing the bodies of hundreds of fairy-blooded women in attempts to halt his own aging. When he learned about Köinzell's human-fairy hybrid nature, he saw an opportunity and tried to exploit him. His cold indifference to what Köinzell actually was triggered a violent transformation—the boy mutated into a far more powerful winged form and beat him to death while he begged for his life.
He was the first of the Seven Heroes to fall.
His arc embodies Lust in its most consuming form: not desire for others, but an all-devouring hunger for eternal life.
