Himeko serves as Student Council vice-president and has been Mei's childhood friend since they were kids. She's known for being uptight and stubborn, with a real thing about enforcing school rules—she genuinely can't stand people who break them. Off-campus though, she ditches the formal look and goes hard for lolita fashion, which is pretty much her whole aesthetic outside of school.
Her relationship with Mei is intense. She gets jealous easily and is fiercely protective, which feeds into fan theories that she's harboring genuine romantic feelings for her childhood friend. She'll constantly bring up how long they've known each other, emphasizing that bond over and over. Most people read her as having yandere tendencies, though beneath all that possessiveness, she genuinely cares about Mei's wellbeing. She's even grudgingly come to terms with Yuzu's attraction to Mei—but that doesn't mean she's stopped complaining about Yuzu's behavior whenever the chance comes up.
