Emily first appears in Episode 19 of Series 1 as the sole female member of the All Starz team. She comes across as pretty snobby and competitive—quick to challenge Tyson when he boasts about being just as skilled as the PPB Corporation's trained fighters. She backs up that attitude by beating Max in a Beyblade match, which gave fans a solid look at how formidable the All Starz actually were.
Her whole thing is science. Emily leans hard on data and analysis to give her team the edge, and in the early season she actually used a tennis racket as her launcher, which is kind of a signature look for her.
By the third season, she's noticeably more mature—she's 17 now versus 15 when she started—but she's also become a bit harder around the edges. She loses to Max during the American eliminatories for the Beyblade Championship and shuts down his attempts to encourage her afterward, which was pretty telling about where her head was at.
