Wataru's the star player on the basketball team—basically carrying the whole program. He and Anna are in the same class, which is part of why he's got a thing for her. The problem is Natsuki's also into Anna, and Wataru knows he's probably losing that fight. He's generally pretty polite about it, but there's definitely this underlying sense that he thinks pretty highly of himself. Still, when it comes to competing with Natsuki over Anna, he seems aware he's the underdog.
