Yoshida is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High, part of the assassination training program targeting their teacher. He's regularly paired with Ryōma Terasaka and Takuya Muramatsu for assignments.
He starts off coming across as pretty thoughtless—the kind of guy who doesn't really think about how his actions affect others. He went along with Terasaka's scheme against Nagisa without much hesitation, which says something about where his head was at early on.
That said, Yoshida's got legitimate expertise when it comes to motorcycles and related vehicles. His family runs a motorcycle business, so he actually knows his stuff in that department—it's one of his more useful qualities once you get to know him.
