Gon (aka Gon-chan) is a fox demon who works at Dakki's place, mostly trying to drum up business for the store. He's a dropout from yakan school and honestly pretty lazy—the kind of guy who'd rather do anything than actually work. He's so unmotivated that he even finds his own shape-shifting ability annoying, which led Koban to tell him flat out: "You're not a fox, you're a tanuki." With no real goals or ambitions, Dakki stuck him with running what used to be the host club "Kitune no Mukouire," now rebranded as the kitsune café "Yakankan."
His relationship with Koban is complicated and rocky, but they're stuck with each other. The smoke from Koban's kiseru pipe has an odd property—it takes on forms that somehow reflect the relationships and situations of whoever's nearby, making it weirdly perceptive about people's connections.
