Kurt Flachfeld was Minna's lover who died during the war. The two had planned to study music together before everything changed—when Minna volunteered for front-line duty, Kurt went with her to help with Gallia's evacuation efforts. Before Minna shipped out to Britannia, they made a promise to reunite there, but Kurt never made it. A Neuroi beam struck the base in a massive explosion while he was still waiting to be evacuated, killing him before he could escape.
