A comedic powerhouse with an enormous appetite and strength to match. He claims to practice something called Mouko-ryuu Kenpo, though it's really just his own made-up style. He got off to a rocky start at the dojo—literally farted in his instructor's face on day one—and was hit with a treason charge and forced to hold up a 200 kg suspended ceiling for six months as punishment.
Early on, he was shown as genuinely devastating in a fight, strong enough to knock out Momo and shatter chunks of an ice ring with his bare fists. These days though, he's best known for commentating alongside Togashi, and he's actually embraced the role, even calling himself the "Eternal Commentator of Otokojuku." That said, whenever he does get back in the ring, he throws himself into it completely.
His real specialty is sumo—he was a yokozuna back home—and he typically fights in nothing but his fundoshi. His father Ryuta shows up in Peerless: The Legend of Edajima Heihachi doing essentially the same thing: holding up a suspended ceiling in a maximum-security military prison. The apple didn't fall far.
