These days, she's stuck as a stone statue, a consequence of the forbidden magic that Coco accidentally unleashed from a mysterious Magic Book she got years ago from a Brimmed Cap Iguin.
The bond between them is tight, but it's complicated by fear. Having lost her husband, Coco's mother lives with the anxiety that Coco might abandon her too. This really surfaced when Qifrey showed up at the shop—she worried that Coco's fascination with magic would pull her away from the tailoring business and from her mom entirely.
