Chess is a 17-year-old prince from the Flowering Kingdom who gets caught up helping Ari, Suha, and Min collect hopeful energy—though he's supposed to keep it under wraps. Fans pretty much unanimously agree he's got feelings for Ari, even if he hasn't fully admitted it himself. He can transform into a hamster, which Ari finds hilarious enough to name him Tubby (통이, Tong-i). Chess absolutely hates the nickname, which only makes it funnier to everyone else.
