Sunstreaker is best known as one of the original Autobots from the '80s cartoon, though his screen time was surprisingly limited. He and his twin brother Sideswipe both transformed into yellow Lamborghini Countachs—Sunstreaker's had that distinctive engine modification sticking out the back. While Sideswipe showed up fairly regularly, Sunstreaker was always the more aloof of the pair.
The character was basically defined by his massive ego. Fans often note he was portrayed as obsessed with his own appearance, refusing to work alongside anyone but his brother and generally being difficult to cooperate with. That said, he was also ruthless and effective in a fight—willing to do whatever it took to win, which made him dangerous despite his vanity issues.
Sunstreaker had one notable appearance in the 1986 Transformers: The Movie, piloting a shuttle bringing reinforcements to Earth. That turned out to be his last scene in the series, which was pretty underwhelming for a character with such a distinctive personality. He was among the few original Autobots who seemingly made it through the attack on Autobot City, though the movie didn't really do much with that fact.
