Tooru is Ryu's older brother—eight years his senior—and has been Chizuru's crush for as long as she can remember. Despite being siblings who actually look alike, the two brothers have almost nothing in common personality-wise. Tooru comes across as refreshing and easygoing, kind of like Kazehaya, but with a noticeably more mature edge to him.
He's settled about three hours away from his parents' place, though he heads back home when it's time to get married. Both Ryu and Chizuru matter to him; he's protective of them, and he genuinely thinks of Chizuru as a little sister. He calls her Chi—apparently because the way she says it makes it look like she's smiling.
