Yuka comes across as much younger than her actual age—her parents have basically spoiled her rotten, which left her acting like a kid despite being a teenager. She's aware of this and tries to act more grown-up to get her peers to take her seriously, but her attempts almost always backfire and just make her seem more immature instead. That naivety is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it gives her a kind of childlike innocence that stands out even in the nightmare that is Heavenly Host Elementary School. On the other, it makes her an easy target for manipulation from both the living students and the ghosts haunting the place.
When it comes to handling the school's horrors—the blood, the violence, the deaths—Yuka struggles hard. She breaks down quickly and isn't equipped to process what she's seeing. Her sheltered upbringing means she naturally looks to older, more capable people to make decisions for her rather than trusting her own judgment. But being trapped in Heavenly Host forces her to adapt. Over the course of her experience there, she has to learn to rely on herself and make her own calls, whether she's ready or not.
