Shiori is Iori's younger sister, and she's got a pretty straightforward problem: their family runs an inn out in the countryside, and now that Iori bailed for college, she's stuck as the next in line to take it over. Neither of them actually wants the place, which is basically the root of everything annoying about her life right now.
She shows up in volume 7 with a mission—drag Iori back home and convince him to just accept his inheritance instead. It's the kind of thing that makes sense from her perspective, even if it's never going to work the way she hopes.
