Nia is a tall blonde woman from France who transferred to Buou Academy. Yoshihiko gave her the nickname "Nia," and the two grew close after meeting while she was doing origami. Things took a dark turn when he betrayed her trust by using her as a test subject in his experiments to artificially create a Master Samurai.
Despite everything, Nia couldn't let go of her feelings for him. That devotion became painfully clear in the anime when she threw herself in front of falling rubble to protect Yoshihiko—still clutching an origami samurai helmet he'd given her long before. The sacrifice cost her life, but Yoshihiko eventually revived her after coming to terms with what he'd done and what she actually meant to him. After her resurrection, Nia became a true Master Samurai, marked by the concentrate seal on her left hand.
