Background and Family
He's the eldest son of Aston Lhant, Lord of the Lhant territory—a border region caught between Windol and Fendel. Growing up, his father and butler Frederick groomed him for the lordship, drilling him in everything he'd need to inherit the title. But he had other plans. Rather than settle into the noble life, he secretly dreamed of becoming a knight. Eventually he acted on it, enrolling at the Knight Training Academy in Windol's capital and throwing himself into his studies with real intensity.
Personality
He's fundamentally idealistic, driven by a strong sense of justice that goes beyond what most knights aspire to. The type who genuinely can't walk past someone in trouble, and once he commits to something, good luck talking him out of it. This earnestness sometimes comes across as naive—Malik calls him out on it regularly—and he's prone to stating goals that sound outright impossible, like "saving everyone."
That said, he's not entirely without self-reflection. Seven years before the main story, he lost someone important. That experience forced some maturity on him; he became more aware of the weight of his choices and started actually owning the consequences of his actions rather than just charging forward on principle alone.
