Kisame Hoshigaki
A cocky ninja with genuine skills to back up his attitude—most of the time. He's actually pretty talented at ninjutsu, but he's not exactly subtle or thoughtful about it, which tends to work against him. Fans often note the contradiction: he's legitimately cool in a lot of ways, but also kind of an idiot when it counts.
Early on, he had a rough record against Sasuke in direct comparisons, which probably didn't help his ego. Still, he remained confident, sometimes to a fault. He's the kind of shinobi who talks a big game and doesn't always think things through before acting on it.
