Jinka Yamato is the younger twin brother of Yamato Takeru, though the Yamato family cast him out early on. After his rejection, he was taken in and raised by Kokugetsu Sai, who trained him until his death. Following that loss, Jinka found a new family connection with Tama Youko, becoming something like a protective older brother to her. Despite his own deep-seated hatred of humans, he agreed to travel alongside Youko in her quest to bridge the divide between demons and humans—a goal that stands in stark contrast to his personal feelings. The tension between his conviction to help her mission and his underlying contempt for humanity defines a lot of his character.
