Shigure is Eruna's older cousin—two years ahead of her—and the reason she ended up at Mikagura Academy in the first place. He basically dotes on her constantly, which is funny considering his actual reputation at school. He's got the whole ikemen thing going on and pulls fans from all grade levels, but he only has eyes for Eruna, which definitely doesn't go unnoticed.
The glasses are a permanent fixture. Eruna's quick to point out he's not actually smart, but he genuinely can't function without them—his face recognition is terrible otherwise. He refuses to wear contacts because he's weirdly squeamish about anything near his eyes, even eye drops. So glasses it is.
There's this huge disconnect between how people see him at school and who he actually is. Everyone thinks he's this serious, charismatic honor student type with an impeccable aura, but the second Eruna shows up, he completely drops the act. He becomes this dorky, hyper-positive goofball. Still, when it counts, he's surprisingly dependable. He takes on real responsibilities without complaint and apparently goes the extra mile without being asked, which landed him the "Most Reliable Senior" ranking. He's also a go-to emcee for school events—he's got a talent for reading the room and turning things in people's favor, plus defending them against harsh public opinion in his own tactful way.
