Andou's the type of teacher who's genuinely proud of his class—probably too proud, honestly. He's constantly going on about how great 1-I's grades are, especially whenever Doi and Yamada are around to hear it. He doesn't miss a chance to take shots at Class 1-Ha either, which is kind of his thing.
What he's really known for, though, is looking perpetually oily and having an absolutely terrible sense of humor. Fans often note that his jokes land with basically no one, but he keeps telling them anyway. There's something endearing about how unbothered he seems by the lack of laughs.
He's got a young daughter who occasionally shows up at the school to visit him.
