Laffey is one of the main characters in the series, typically grouped with Javelin and Ayanami as central figures. She's drawn to Ayanami and wants to be her friend, but their opposing nations—Ayanami serving the Sakura Empire, which is at war with Azur Lane—put them at odds.
Personality-wise, Laffey's perpetually half-asleep and comes across as pretty indifferent to most situations. But when her friends are actually in danger, she snaps into gear and does everything she can to help. That same fierce loyalty extends to her relationship with the Commander.
For combat, she's equipped with a Single 127mm gun (5"/38 Mk 30) and a 533mm Quintuple Torpedo Mount.
Her appearance matches her sleepy vibe: she's got a kind of perpetually drowsy look, dressed in a white shirt with a centered blue stripe, pink jacket on top, and all-white tights. Her footwear is a distinctive white boot with a red sole, completed by a red-detail anklet. She wears a red bow in her hair and has a pair of rabbit ears tucked in there as well.
