Elliot Eden is a Stratford student who seems to have his act together—the type you'd expect to see on an honor roll. He's in the same year as Isaac Morton and looks up to William Twining, who's a year ahead of him.
What makes Elliot unusual isn't anything he'd advertise: he comes from a long line of reverends stretching back over a century. That spiritual lineage is exactly why the archangel Michael could possess him. Michael used Elliot's body to target Twining, but once that plan fell apart, the archangel just bailed. Elliot went on living his life completely unaware of what had happened—though he did end up with a broken arm as a souvenir.
