The Raiden Shogun is lightning made manifest—a terrible, awesome force and the supreme ruler of Inazuma. She wields thunder itself in pursuit of her singular vision: eternity.
What makes her unique is that she's actually two beings sharing one body. Ei is the true Electro Archon, while the Shogun herself is a puppet Ei created to handle the day-to-day ruling of Inazuma. It's a setup that lets Ei focus on her deeper, more abstract goals while her creation keeps the nation running.
Visually, she's hard to miss. Long violet hair falls in braids, with a fan-shaped kanzashi pinned at one side—a piece that once belonged to her twin sister Makoto. Two pale violet flowers (balloon flowers) hang from it. Her whole look is this mix of formality and bare midriff: a sheer dark purple bodysuit layered under an extremely short lavender kimono. Golden rings sit at her middle fingers where the bodysuit sleeves end, and the kimono itself is covered in purple and gold patterns—tomoe, flowers, waves—with a crimson obi tied in a bow at the back. She pairs it all with dark purple thigh-high stockings (complete with little diamond cutouts), high-heeled sandals, and more of those balloon flowers around her right ankle. Her nails are purple to match. Three Electro symbols appear on her outfit: a black pauldron on her left shoulder, a tasseled ornament at her obi, and a fan-like piece on the bow itself.
