Traktung is an ancient golden yokai who's been around for centuries—literally. He spent five hundred years pinned in the basement of Ushio's temple under the Beast Spear until she yanked it out and freed him. Before that whole situation, he went by Nagatobimaru and had a serious reputation in the yokai world as an absolute powerhouse with devastating lightning abilities.
Having been stuck underground for half a millennium, Traktung's curiosity about modern life is pretty much off the charts. He gets genuinely fascinated by contemporary gadgets and everyday stuff that most people take for granted. Hamburgers are his weakness—Mayuko knows this and basically uses them as his favorite currency whenever they hang out.
The final confrontation with Hakumen hits different for Traktung because it forces him to confront an old connection from way back, before Hakumen became the super yokai he is now. It's one of those moments that digs into his ancient past in a way nothing else has.
