Chiyo's one of those Umamusume who just radiates good intentions—genuinely kind and sincere in a way that stands out. She's not flashy or particularly talented compared to some of the heavy hitters in the cast, but what she lacks in natural ability she makes up for with sheer determination. It's hard not to root for her.
Her most distinctive quirk is filling her notebook with what she calls "Chiyonotes"—basically her own take on proverbs and life lessons. The thing is, nobody else can actually read them. They're completely indecipherable. Fans find this weirdly endearing, and it's become one of her defining character traits. She's just doing her own thing and doesn't seem bothered that no one understands her notes.
