Yūga and his brothers grew up as orphans in the Land of Haze's orphanage. The country itself wasn't much—smaller and poor—but the orphanage made sure they had decent food, which was more than some kids got. They spent a lot of their time playing beneath a big peach tree, which seems to be one of the few bright spots from those early years.
