Tower Tycoon Palmer
Japanese Name: タワータイクーン クロツグ (Tower Tycoon Kurotsugu)
Palmer runs the Battle Tower in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and is best known as Cynthia's ex-husband and father to Pearl. He's got a lot in common with his son—both are perpetually rushing around, and they share similar looks and mannerisms.
There's a hint that he and the player character's father were close friends back in the day. The two apparently had a shared experience: they both ended up at a lake together and got caught in a wild Pokémon attack, much like what happens to the player and their rival during the game's events.
