Ami is the daughter of Enzo Bron, CEO of the IT conglomerate Shake Hanz Corporation, and Yuko Enan, a Japanese woman. Her parents divorced amicably early in her childhood, with her mother gaining custody. When Ami was six, she was kidnapped along with other children by a criminal group running child exploitation operations. Their friendship was tested when the Whales of Liberation, a terrorist group, occupied the school. Ami was isolated in solitary confinement until Fujiko Mine—infiltrating the school to steal Dolma's national treasure, the Bloody Teardrop—freed her. Together they fought back against the terrorists with backup from Lupin's crew, who'd arrived independently. The victory was short-lived: an American Secret Service agent named McQuire abducted Dolma before they could fully secure her safety.
