She's the half-sister of Shigemori and befriends Biwa early on. The story has her betrothed to Norihito, the Emperor's son. Her younger sister Moriko gets married off to Lord Fujiwara no Motazane at just nine years old—Motazane being the older brother of Lord Motofusa. When Motazane dies only two years later, Moriko inherits his lands, which enrages Motofusa and creates tension within the family.
