Qin Su is the wife of Jin Guangyao and mother of Jin Rusong. She was born into the Laoling Qin Clan, a branch family under the Lanling Jin umbrella, as the daughter of Qin Cangye and his wife Madam Qin. During the Sunshot Campaign, Jin Guangyao saved her life—a moment that sparked her feelings for him. She pursued the relationship despite her father's reservations, and they eventually married, with Qin Su taking on the role of madam of Golden Carp Tower.
Their son Jin Rusong was killed while still young, devastating Qin Su. At the time, Jin Guangyao blamed a political rival and destroyed that clan in retaliation.
Personality-wise, Qin Su comes across as well-mannered and dignified, though she has a somewhat innocent, even naive quality to her. What stands out about her is that she doesn't seem to care about the status hierarchies that matter to most of the cultivation world—she never looked down on Jin Guangyao despite his mother having been a prostitute, which was fairly unusual for someone in her position.
