Hartmut is an archnoble scholar and one of Rozemyne's retainers. On the surface, he comes across as a genuinely friendly guy who enjoys conversation and has a real talent for picking up information from people. In reality, though, he's far more cynical and calculating than he lets on.
He's obsessively devoted to Rozemyne—borderline fanatical about it. His dedication sometimes pushes into weird territory, especially when he's actively spreading stories and legends about her sainthood. He'll go pretty far to cement her reputation, which says a lot about how much he's bought into the idea of who she is.
