Takopi—originally named Nnu-Anu-Kf—is the main character of Takopi's Original Sin. He's an alien from Planet Happy, a world built entirely around spreading joy and positive vibes. When he crash-lands on Earth in 2016, he's equipped with "Happy Gadgets," basically advanced tools meant to solve problems and make people's lives better.
He meets Shizuka Kuze, a lonely kid dealing with relentless bullying at school and neglect at home. Takopi sees how miserable she is and decides to stick around, determined to make her happy.
The thing is, Takopi doesn't really understand Earth, human emotions, or how relationships actually work. He means well—genuinely—and he's not malicious, but his solutions keep backfiring in ways he doesn't expect. Because he can't grasp the real consequences of his actions or how deep human pain actually goes, his attempts to fix Shizuka's life spiral into something darker and far more complicated than he anticipated.
