Recognizing Temacu's sudden interest in the traveler, her father approached Ash's group and invited them to his laboratory for dinner and tea. The next day, he gave them a tour, mentioning plans to expand the facility to house 100 different Pokémon. Things went downhill fast when Team Rocket raided the place—while his Pokémon miraculously survived the attack, Temacu herself vanished, prompting him to organize a search party with Ash and friends.
What followed was a scheme even Team Rocket found creative in its absurdity. James and Jessie disguised themselves as Temacu's fiancé and maid of honor, respectively, exploiting her infatuation to gain access to the professor's home.
