PallaPalla is the blue-haired, perpetually childlike member of the Quartet—best known for her ball-based attacks and her habit of speaking in third person. She's titled the Magician of Balancing Balls, and her Senshi counterpart is Sailor Mercury. Takeuchi originally described her as a bimbo, crybaby, and generally immature, though the anime would later reveal surprising flashes of actual cleverness beneath the surface.
The character's age and positioning among her sisters shifted between versions: she's the second eldest in the manga but the youngest in the anime, a difference that mirrors the size hierarchy of the asteroid Pallas, which inspired her name. She was also named after the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The manga eventually reveals she's actually Sailor Pallas, one of Chibiusa's four protectors.
