Yaqut is a member of the Fanalis Corps serving the Reim Empire. He's best known for having one very specific life goal: to find a wealthy noble woman and marry into money. It's basically his whole thing—he's a self-proclaimed gold-digger who's openly admitted that his real dream isn't glory or military honor, but landing a rich lady and living the comfortable life that comes with it. Fans tend to find his complete lack of shame about this pretty entertaining, especially since he'll straight-up tell anyone who asks.
