Daisuke Kambe
Daisuke comes from serious money—he's part of the ultra-wealthy Kanbe family—and he's not shy about throwing that wealth around to solve cases. He's got access to cutting-edge tech and essentially unlimited resources, which he uses to tackle crimes in ways most cops would never dream of attempting.
He ended up joining the Metropolitan Police Department's Modern Crime Prevention Task Force, where he got paired with Haru Katou. The two became partners, though "partners who actually listen to each other" might be generous—Daisuke has a tendency to completely ignore whatever Katou's trying to say. It's kind of his thing.
His methods are pretty aggressive and unconventional, which tracks given his background. For someone used to solving problems with money and tech, the usual police procedure probably feels like using a flip phone.
