Rai is a fierce competitor who carries grudges like weapons—and he's skilled enough to use them effectively in battle. He's deeply connected to his village and genuinely respected by its people, but that loyalty made him bitter when the village elder passed the White Tiger power to his best friend Rei Kon instead of him. Making it worse, Rei eventually left the village altogether, and Rai spent years fueling his resentment. Despite mastering all the White Tiger techniques, he couldn't shake the feeling of being overlooked.
By G-Revolution, though, something shifts. His rage cools into focus, and he becomes a solid blading partner to Rei. That said, Rai's still emotional—it's both his strength and his weakness. When things go wrong, he's just as likely to lose his composure or break down as he is to push through.
His Beyblade lineup shows similar evolution. He started with Galeon, a black speed-type blade, then upgraded to Galeon 2 with green accents, and finally Galeon G—basically Galeon 2 fitted with an engine gear. His bit-beast, Galeon itself, is a black lion that channels lightning, and Rai's signature moves are Dark Thunder and Spiral Lightning.
