Blake is one of the trainers who showed up in Splitting Heirs!, a pretty memorable episode. He's the younger brother of Heath, and the two had a solid relationship growing up—they'd go out adventuring together and come back covered in scrapes, which is just what kids do.
Things took a turn when their father gave both of them an Espurr. The bond held until those Espurr evolved into Meowstic, at which point Blake and Heath started butting heads constantly. Frustrated and eager to prove himself to both Heath and their dad, Blake decided to leave home and set out on his own journey as a trainer.
