Izumi Kyouka is a talented playwright whose work is finally getting the recognition it deserves. He's a tamayori—someone who can attract supernatural spirits—but he's got a pretty unconventional list of fears. Germs, dogs, and lightning genuinely terrify him way more than actual evil spirits do, which is kind of ironic given what he is. He's also skittish and moody, prone to getting worked up over things.
He's got a rabbit perched on his shoulder that's actually a tsukumogami, a type of spirit born from old objects that people have treasured for a long time. It's become pretty iconic to his whole deal.
Right now he's stuck finishing his play Yashagaike—he literally can't complete it until Shirayuki, a dragon god, returns the manuscript. It's one of those frustrating creative blocks, except the block is an actual supernatural being who apparently has his work.
