Tenichi Shoukyousai (Charlie)
Charlie's the enigmatic magician who kicks off the whole story by sending Mei Ayazuki back to the Meiji era. He comes across as shady at first, but it doesn't take long to realize he's actually pretty playful and genuinely cares about Mei—though he's got some masochistic tendencies that show up now and then.
Plot twist: Charlie turns out to be the spirit inhabiting the fox charm on Mei's phone, an artifact that originally belonged to her family's antique shop. His whole reason for sending Mei back in time? He wants to protect her and, more than anything, see her smile. That's basically his entire motivation.
